Ladies Fashion, Timeless Passion
under 70's Fashion, 80's Fashion, Celebrity Fashion, Fashion Accessories, Fashion Clothing, Fashion History, Fashion Jewelry, Fashion Models, Fashion Trends, Vintage Fashion, Womens FashionI haven’t studied the history of fashion, but I’m sure it dates back since prehistoric ages. It’s easy to imagine how the cavemen, or rather their cave women used to criticize their neighbors with phrases like “Look, she’s wearing the fur with the legs around her neck, instead of wearing them across body like all of us do.”
This may seem funny, but this is how fashion should have appeared. Then, probably men speculated on this desire they had spotted and started to create new styles and to generate fashion trends in clothing. Later, when footwear was born, fashion quickly followed. Even if there were no fashion shops, nor photos or magazines for the great designers of the time to advertise their creations in, I’m positive that inside the tribes there were the so-called trend setters who were rebellious and innovative. The rest of the tribe simply followed.
Back to the modern era, we are now in the middle of a fashion revolution, where designer apparel is sold by wholesalers and when all respectable manufacturers have factory outlets, where ladies can buy the goods cheaper than in luxury shops. Dressing has become more than a necessity. This implies big amounts of money being spent for staying up-to-date with modern fashion trends. Buying new clothes, designer purses and shoes every weekend has turned into a form of entertainment. Women have fun when shopping. They like to try dozens of outfits, and many times they return home with no purchases at all. It’s a passion and an addiction in the same time, this shopping fever and the Gossip Girl Fashion.
Online Fashion Shopping Can’t Beat The Old Style
It is true that since the Internet became a mass product, online shopping has experienced an important growth, in all domains, not only in clothing. Women got accustomed easily with online shopping, but many of them still want to enjoy the feeling of trying the shoes and the dresses before paying for them. This is one of the reasons why womens fashion online business did not affect the sales of brick and mortar shops.
In today’s times, all big designers have realized the need of an online presence, so most of them have virtual stores where their fans can read more about the history of their brands, about their collections, about fashion shows and awards. Besides, some of them offer online purchasing facilities or catalogs for download.
Vintage Fashion Will Always Sell To Nostalgic Ladies
One of the weirdest preferences is known as the vintage fashion. Even an ugly tee shirt I bought yesterday from a street boutique may become vintage in 20-30 years or so, thus becoming much more valuable than it is today. For those of you who are old enough to remember, the 80’s fashion has come again in force, updated with more modern elements, but mainly the same in spirit and atmosphere. If I only kept those clothes I used to wear by then, I’d be very trendy even nowadays.
Is There A Jewelry Fashion Or Not?
One of the steadiest areas in this industry is the jewelry fashion: old rings, bracelets, pendants and necklaces will always be beautiful if they once were so. However, jewelry has its variations as well, when it comes to materials that are in vogue in certain ages. For instance, gold was the great trend of the 70’s fashion, but now it’s trendier to buy jewels made of various other materials such as steel, brass or copper. Only look at fashion models on the catwalk and study their jewelry. You’ll see my point immediately.
Fashion Models And Trends
Fashion may be different across countries as well. Each part of the world adopted several styles and habits which are in accordance with the local climate, for instance. No woman living in tropical areas will ever need a fur coat. This is a challenge for fashion designers who want international recognition. Their collections have to consider all these factors, in order to make women wish to buy and wear those creations.
The presumably easy glory makes thousands of young people each year dream at a fashion design career. They imagine that once they are there, they’d get paid a big salary and many more compensations. For the top of the pyramid, they are probably right. However, it is a long way to go and it takes more than creativity, talent and a desire to work in order to succeed in this business.
Anyway, fashion designer colleges see huge competition from candidates, and the fashion designer software programs are very well sold worldwide. Drawing clothing and shoes for other people can be a lot of fun, I agree with that. But some of these creations are impossible to wear. Only think of the incidents generated at fashion shows because of the very high heels which made walking so difficult for the models.
